QVET Membership Process
QVET membership is open to all Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers. However, membership approval is contingent upon providers meeting QVET’s audit and provider review requirements. QVET audit is structured around (as applicable to respective provider registration type) Standards for RTOs 2015, The National Code 2018, and ELICOS National Standards 2018, as well as incorporating practice-based benchmarks.
Essentially, the membership audit is designed with a view to help providers meet their mandatory regulatory requirements. The audit, based on evidence of good practice, assists and informs providers in identifying improvement opportunities as well as prepare ahead for external audits. We want our members to become confident in their systems and processes, and stay ahead of regulatory requirements.
The membership has three key stages (progressive stages);
- Provisional Membership
- Membership
- Quality Certification
>Provisional Membership
The provisional membership is the first step towards QVET membership. The provisional membership involves provider self-assessment and QVET review of provider practices. A brief report is provided as a feedback to the provider.
If the provisional membership is not approved, the provider has the opportunity to provide additional evidence and/or information to support a re-application within 14 days of QVET’s report.
If successful, the provider’s application shall be considered for a full membership.
>>QVET Membership
Provisional members shall be admitted as members upon achieving a satisfactory outcome in QVET’s audit. With an acute awareness of compliance burden on providers dealing with multiple national standards and regulations, QVET’s audit is designed to incorporate the applicable provider compliance standards within the audit, and provide the audit as an opportunity to inform on regulatory compliance and reduce costs of internal audits.
Which means that QVET audit serves both as the membership audit as well as an internal audit incorporating the required standards.
QVET Membership provide the rights to use “QVET Australia Member” badge, which can be used on all marketing materials and medium, including websites and emails.
>>QVET Q-Mark Certification
QVET Q-Mark is the optimum quality certification that certifies providers demonstrating compliance with QVET’s quality framework requirements. The Quality Framework, developed by quality management experts, is a comprehensive set of Quality areas that incorporate all the operational areas of a training organisation – as well as underlying regulatory standards.
By implementing the framework and demonstrating best and compliant practices, the members achieve the Q-Mark certification as the proud mark of distinction and market standing.
Q-Mark certified providers are organisations that are compliance and quality-driven, pro-active, professional, and internally capable to sustain market and sector challenges and conditions.
Q-Mark certified providers represent a powerful group of organisations with the drive and capacity to not only change the perception of private vocational education and training providers, but also transform the sector.
