QVET Members
QVET represents all the private education and training providers in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Accordingly, all VET providers may apply for QVET membership, such as:
- Registered Training Providers (RTOs)
- CRICOS providers
- ELICOS providers
- Enterprise RTOs
- Industry Training Organisations
- Group Training Organisations (GTOs)
- Other Non-accredited VET providers

VET is also known as “Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET)” and “skills training”. The TAFE (Technical and Further Education) institutes are the largest provider of VET.
Governance of Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) sector is through a network of Commonwealth and state and territory governments. In the wake of COVID-19, a new governance structure was put in place which saw the cessation of the COAG Skills Council and the formation of the Skills National Cabinet Reform Committee (ASQA, 2024).
