Development and Training

A capability is defined as an attribute, knowledge, ability or other characteristic that contributes to a person’s ability to perform a skill. Human capabilities, consequently, are personal attributes that predict ‘soft skills’ (e.g., teamwork, cooperation or communication). Capabilities are either cognitive or behavioural (HCS, 2020).

At QVET, we believe that capability development is key to organisational growth and success. From an individual standpoint, specific roles and responsibilities are designed for what needs to get done. Capabilities refer to how things get done. While this development can be incremental and long-term in organisations, we have developed training and professional programs that support development of soft skills across different levels of an organisation.

Professional development is also a regulatory requirement, at least for some of the organisational roles.

Unique Workshops

QVET Australia offers a range of professional development and training services designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of educators, trainers, and administrative staff.

These services typically include workshops, seminars, and webinars on the latest teaching methodologies, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the VET sector. These include activities and workshops designed to focus on core leadership development models such as L.E.A.D capabilities (Leadership, Engagement and Culture, Agility, and Direction and Purpose) in senior managers (Bowles, 2020), and key learnings from the human capabilities framework for staff members.

There are also workshops for trainers and assessors, as per the regulatory requirements on a range of topics covering competency-based training and assessment, as well as skills development.

Watch our Events page for workshop announcements.
