As per QVET’s policy, membership fees are not refundable, and expire each calendar year.

QVET membership is audit-based, and providers must pass the audit to QVET’s audit criteria. If providers do not pass the audit, QVET shall help them address the compliance gaps and undertake rectifications. These areas will be audited again in the next audit for continuous monitoring.

Providers can choose to apply for Q-Mark Certifications straight away if they are confident that they can meet QVET’s quality criteria and certification requirements. Q-Mark certified organisations become automatic members of QVET Australia. The annual fee is discounted for Q-Mark certified members.

Firstly, QVET membership is audit based – all applicants must go through a site audit and meet QVET’s compliance criteria in order to become members. Additionally, QVET membership is more than just a title – it entails exclusive services and support, as well as an opportunity to become a Q-Mark certified organisation as a mark of distinction – the only such certification service in the sector. Lastly, QVET is established to provide a collective and robust platform for the VET sector with an agenda to engage with the government and the regulator on policy and sector reforms that directly impact the VET sector.

Yes. QVET represents private Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers. However, membership is subject to QVET audit and provider review.

Yes, the membership is renewable each calendar year and the yearly membership fee must be paid on renewal.

QVET membership does not have a duration. Providers may choose to exit membership by providing a 30-day written notice to QVET. Membership is renewed each calendar year.

The Director of Quality approves all new membership applications based on the recommendations of the Membership and Certifications Committee. The MCC receives, reviews, and considers audit reports and recommendations received from the auditors, and sends to the Director of Quality for final approval. All members are entered into QVET’s member’s register, which is available to the Governing Board, along with the decisions.

QVET cannot directly assist in the audits. However, QVET can provide advise on audit rectifications and improvement measures. For cases where any legal representation is required, QVET members can avail independent services of QVET partner organisations. In time, QVET shall have an in-house legal counsel for legal queries.
